Appenzell, Appenzell Innerhorden - foto oleh Patrick Nouhailler Appenzell merupakan sebuah desa sekaligus kota kecil yang terletak di wilayah timur-laut Swiss. Kota cantik ini merupakan ibu kota Kanton Appenzell Innerhorden. Meski merupakan ibu kota kanton tetapi Appenzell tidak memiliki pemerintah kota sendiri. Administrasi di wilayah kota ini mengikuti ketiga distrik di sekitarnya yaitu distrik Appenzell yang memiliki nama yang sama, Schwende, dan Rüte. Karena keunikan sistem administrasi tersebut menjadikan Appenzell sebagai kota dengan tujuan khusus, atau yang dikenal dengan istilah Feuerschaugemeinde .

Iseltwald, Kanton Bern - foto oleh Tim Ulrich / Pixabay Iseltwald merupakan sebuah desa kecil yang terletak di tepi selatan Danau Brienz (Brienzersee), region Bernese Oberland , salah satu region di Swiss yang selalu ramai dikunjungi oleh wisatawan. Desa cantik ini termasuk dalam wilayah distrik Interlaken-Oberhasli , kanton Bern . Luas wilayah Iseltwald sekitar 22 km persegi dan berada pada elevasi 566 di atas permukaan laut. Selain pusat desa, wilayah Iseltwald juga meliputi beberapa pemukiman kecil disekitarnya seperti Furen, Sengg, Isch, dan beberapa areal pertanian. Pada tahun 2019, jumlah penduduk tetap di desa ini hanya sekitar 438 jiwa. Seluruh area Iseltwald merupakan bagian dari Federal Inventory of Heritage Sites (ISOS) negara Swiss.
